1.Automotive Product Engineer
Company Description
We are a successful and expanding foreign automotive manufacturing
company who is establishing a design, development and production
facility in Wuhu, supplying automotive components. We are well

Role Requirements
The main functions of the role include:
• Undertaking product design from concept stage to implementation
working to agreed targets.
• Researching and implementing solutions for product problems and
opportunities.
• Assisting in the development and interpretation of engineering
specifications to ensure products meet relevant standards.
• Generating and managing product testing requirements.
• Construct and maintain Bill(s) of Material’s (BOM’s).
• Interpreting and reviewing engineering drawings ensuring drawing
quality and integrity is maintained.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Qualifications in an Engineering discipline. (Mechanical,
Electrical/Electronics, Automotive, Aerospace)
• A general knowledge of Plastic, Metal, Mechanisms, Electrical
and Foam components.
• Well developed written and oral communication, presentation and
interpersonal skills.
Verbal and written English communication skills will be an advantage,
along with previous experience in the automotive industry.

• Maintaining an inventory file to assure timely and efficient

(APQP).
• Managing the appearance approval processes and submissions to the

• Managing Supplier production part approval processes (PPAP’s) for
new products.
• Assisting the Program Manager in monitoring the performance of all
suppliers in relation to quality, delivery performance and cost.
• Visiting suppliers when necessary to discuss specific quality or
cost reduction issues.

• Interpreting and creating engineering drawings.
• Participating in Project Design teams, design reviews, etc.
• Applying cost appreciation in regard to design and manufacturing
constraints.
• Investigating new drafting techniques and drafting equipment and
recommend changes to standard practices.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role you will have:
• A demonstrated working knowledge of either Catia or Unigraphics
• A demonstrated ability in 3D solid modelling, Assemblies,
Wireframe, Surfacing, 2D details, etc
